It is not since 1992 that one of our team has posted the day’s fastest time when Colin Walker ran 25.07 to take the fastest long stage medal. This year Ross Murray ran the fastest short stage time of 14.00 minutes – 16 seconds faster than his nearest rival. In fact the club had Ryan Stephenson in 16th fastest (14.41) and Callum Johnson 22nd fastest (14.45). This is the first time for many years that we have had any athletes under 15.00 let alone 3!!
It really was an excellent performance by the whole team who all did themselves and the club proud.

BUCS Report - Team Northumbria
Team Northumbria Athletics had a successful weekend at the BUCS Championships in Bedford. 8 of their athletes made finals with 6 of them making the top 8. 7 club records were broken and 4 personal bests were achieved.
